Is forgetting the old one strategy for embracing the new? Beyond the value of learning from old mistakes, are we better off forgetting our past weaknesses?
Paul says, yes! “-this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark…” (Philippians 3:13,14a) Part of Paul’s successful strategy for growth is forgetting what was behind, those errors lurking in the dark corners of the past. Following Paul’s example, may we forget the failures of 2021 and look forward to the opportunities of 2022.
Out with the old. In with the new!
