“Newness of life!” What a beautiful and hope-filled phrase. And this opportunity for a new beginning begins with the resurrection power of Jesus.
“Therefore we are buried with Him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” (Romans 6:4) Jesus was raised up from the dead by the glory of His Father. His resurrection empowers our own. Jesus said, “Because I live, you shall live also.” (John 14:19) Newness of life provided by the power of God to give humans a second chance.
So, as we seek a new lease on life, let us rely on the resurrection power of Jesus.
