We Are Light

Am I really? Am I a light in this dark world? Do I really shine? Do I illuminate the weary around me? Do I brighten the lonely? Apparently yes!

Jesus declares, “You are the light of the world…” (Matthew 5:14a) If Jesus, the Original Light of the world, declares me to be a light, then I am. In reality, He is that Light inside me that shines out. He shines through me as I yield to being transparent. And He beams brilliantly through those healed wounds and cracks in my life.

So, truly, I am the light of my small world…through the illuminating power of Jesus.
